Petit Coin D'amour is a relaxed and romantic brasserie in Mainstreet, Vancouver BC. Its name translates to “little love spot” and is inspired by the beautiful French aesthetic. The soft leafy environment and the comfortable theme make Petit Coin D’amour the perfect spot for a friend gathering or a quick meal on a beautiful day. The contemporary design, accentuated with red and maroon will create the French feel when paired with the traditional striped chairs and awning. Leafy greens and hanging plants will be used heavily throughout the space to bring the outside in and exotic flowers will be placed everywhere.Patter will be used in the upholstery and flooring and will create a dynamic touch to the space. This will be paralleled by the placement of hanging greenery and random light fixture heights and order to accentuate the dynamic feel. Ambient lighting hanging from the ceiling to create a dreamy environment will be achieved with ceiling mounted fixtures and wall sconces. Materials used in this brasserie will mainly be neutral and light. Wood and meshed seats paired with colors like beige, baby blue and greens will relate to the soft environment. Lighting will create an important element of diversity in the restaurant as different fixtures and ambiances will be created for each space to create variety. Ambient lighting will be used in the bar and above tables, while accent lighting will focus on showcasing materials, art, and wall textures. This will help with layering light and allow for an interesting feel to each space.
